Support for the GAZELA Professional Training Program

The Philippe & Élisabeth Dufour Foundation is pleased to announce its commitment to an ambitious new project, in collaboration with the Gazela Association, aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of many families in the rural commune of Antanarivo South, Madagascar. This one-year project targets 240 young girls and boys, as well as 90 women in situations of great vulnerability. Its objective is to enhance their employability while offering sustainable economic prospects through pre-professional training programs (PTP) and professional training programs (TP).

A Perfect Continuation of the Hoavy Project

This new program serves as a perfect continuation of the Hoavy project, carried out in partnership with the Mizarazoa Association. Thanks to this synergy, young people who complete their journey with Mizarazoa can now further their training and acquire concrete professional skills through the Gazela program. This smooth transition ensures these young individuals have a genuine opportunity to integrate sustainably into the workforce, providing them with the tools needed to build their future with confidence and determination.

A True Rescue for the Gazela Association

It is important to highlight that without the intervention and support of the Philippe & Élisabeth Dufour Foundation, the Gazela Association would not have been able to continue its essential activities. The association's precarious financial situation directly threatened the continuity of its programs, which would have been extremely damaging.

The Gazela Association has played a crucial role in improving the living conditions of many vulnerable people. Its tireless work has enabled young people and women to regain dignity, hope, and prospects for the future. The Foundation's investment therefore represents much more than mere financial support: it is a true humanitarian rescue, ensuring the sustainability of an initiative whose benefits have already proven their effectiveness and positive impact on the local community.

The concrete actions of the project include:

Support for the Pre-Professional Training Program (PTP): Supplying the canteen to ensure balanced meals for the 240 enrolled young people.

Material and logistical support: Providing essential equipment such as sewing machines, fabric, thread, as well as funding for rent and essential services like electricity.

Professional training for women: Specialized training in sewing and tailoring will be provided to the 90 female beneficiaries, enabling them to develop professional skills directly applicable to generating income.

A Lasting Impact on the Community

By strengthening the autonomy and professional opportunities of the beneficiaries, this project directly contributes to improving their living conditions and the sustainable development of the region. It is not merely a training program but a true humanistic approach that gives profound meaning to the actions of the Philippe & Élisabeth Dufour Foundation.

We are proud to be part of this collective effort and to collaborate with our local partners to offer young people and women solid and lasting opportunities.

Thank you to everyone who makes this project possible and who, through their support, actively contributes to building a better future for these communities!

The Arrival of Four Workstations Dedicated to Women in Training

It is with great satisfaction that we announce the arrival of four workstations equipped with tables and sewing machines, specifically dedicated to professional sewing training for the 90 female beneficiaries of the Gazela project.

These new pieces of equipment represent much more than technical tools: they symbolize a genuine opportunity for economic independence and personal fulfillment for these women. With these modern and adapted tools, they will be able to follow a structured and professional training program, acquire solid technical skills, and, ultimately, generate sustainable income for themselves and their families.

This first concrete step marks a promising beginning for the Professional Training (PT) program and demonstrates the commitment of the Philippe & Élisabeth Dufour Foundation to supporting initiatives that combine training, dignity, and autonomy.

These workstations form an essential foundation for the success of the Gazela project and pave the way for a future where every trained woman can become a true economic and social pillar of her community.

Thank you to all the partners and supporters who make this progress possible. Together, we are building a fairer and more self-sufficient future for these courageous and determined women.
