The Foundation Board visits Watches and Wonders Geneva
A must-attend event to highlight our humanitarian mission
On Friday, April 3, the Board of the Philippe & Élisabeth Dufour Foundation attended Watches and Wonders Geneva, the world’s most prestigious watchmaking event. Such an international showcase—bringing together the greatest maisons and a wide audience of journalists, collectors, and enthusiasts—could not be overlooked.
With the upcoming charity auction benefiting the Foundation on the horizon, this day provided an opportunity to share our mission and raise awareness among potential new partners. Thanks to Philippe Dufour’s exceptional reputation in the watchmaking world, our presence at the event generated particular interest—especially among creators and watchmaking artisans open to the idea of donating a unique or symbolic timepiece to support our initiatives.
A highlight: the Ladies’ Lunch in Lausanne
Human connections and a philanthropic network
Alongside the fair, we had the honor of attending the Ladies’ Lunch in Lausanne—a philanthropic association founded in 1991 by Mrs. Carmela Lagonico, bringing together committed women from diverse professional backgrounds. This elegant and warm-hearted luncheon offered a welcoming setting for the Foundation to be introduced, fostering meaningful exchange and heartfelt connection.
We shared the spirit that drives our work, our ongoing projects—particularly our commitment to supporting children and women in vulnerable situations—and our determination to bring forth concrete, lasting solutions, far from indifference.
A day full of promise
Though distinct in nature, both events shared a common goal: building bridges between the worlds of luxury, creativity, and social action. The day was also marked by numerous valuable encounters—often unexpected, but always meaningful. These moments point to promising prospects and pave the way for exciting future collaborations.
It is in this convergence that the Philippe & Élisabeth Dufour Foundation draws part of its strength: the ability to connect artisanal excellence with human responsibility.
We warmly thank all those we met that day for their attentiveness, their support, and their openness to a cause that is so close to our hearts.
